BLAST-SAFETM Jet-Blast and Perimeter Security Fencing

Originally developed for NASA to protect a launch site control tower. Blast-Safe™ utilizes a unique double-reversed corrugated (DRC) fabric. The DRC fabric allows jet-blast to be diffused safely, while preventing penetration of airborne solid debris. The continous, monolithic construction of Blast-Safe™ makes the system suitable as a security fence or glare screen.

Blast-Safe™ installations can be custom-designed to ensure proper height, strength and layout for your facility. Access doors for personnel and equipment, lighting and other site-specific features are easily incorporated for added safety and convenience.

The Blast-Safe™ design incorporates I-beam post construction, minimizing lateral space. With a footprint of less than 20 ", the barrier can fit in "tight" locations, maximizing limited right-of-way space.

Sizes: Blast-Safe™ comes in standard heights of 8, 10, 12 and 14 feet. The length and location of the fence is determined by project-specific operational restrictions. Typical installations are based upon 7' o.c. placement of structural steel beams. Blast-
Safe™ can be custom-designed to fit a variety of site-specific conditions.

Materials: Blast-Safe™ sheathing is 25 gage DRC fabric, galvanized in accordance with ASTM A653, coating designation G90. Framing components are fabricated from standard structural steel shapes galvanized in accordance with ASTM A123. Hardware is structural grade and galvanized in accordance with ASTM A153.
